Rosa Equity Collaborative is a founder-led, community-centered consulting firm and teaching strategy lab that helps leaders, teams, organizations, and community initiatives build equity-centered strategies rooted in community wisdom, research, and accountability.
Rosa Equity Collaborative was created to support leaders, organizations, and communities doing the deeper work of equity-centered change.
This work is grounded in the belief that organizations cannot create equitable change without first learning to name power honestly, honor community wisdom, and realign their values with their daily practices.
Rosa Equity Collaborative brings together consulting, teaching, research, facilitation, public health practice, clinical insight, and community-rooted strategy. The firm supports organizations and individuals who are ready to move beyond surface-level equity language and toward more accountable, relational, and sustainable change.
Equity-centered strategy, facilitation, program design, evaluation, culture work, and community engagement support for organizations, coalitions, and systems.
Frameworks, trainings, tools, and learning spaces that translate research, reflection, and community wisdom into practical strategies for change.
A developing space for mentorship, hidden curriculum support, reflective practice, and community initiative advising.
Understand the current conditions, power dynamics, stories, data, and lived experiences shaping the work.
Identify where values, decisions, resources, relationships, and practices are out of alignment.
Build practical strategies, tools, and commitments that support accountability, repair, and sustainable change.

Dr. Joanna Rosa, DrPH, LPCC, LADC is the founder of Rosa Equity Collaborative. She is a public health practitioner, licensed clinician, qualitative researcher, consultant, facilitator, and equity-centered strategist.
Her work is shaped by public health, behavioral health, racial equity, Black feminist thought, community engagement, leadership development, and systems change. Her doctoral research, Leading for Resistance: How Black Women Succeed in Healthcare Leadership, explored how Black women healthcare leaders navigate structural inequity, emotional labor, racialized professionalism, and leadership survival while maintaining agency, dignity, and purpose.
Dr. Rosa brings a relational, reflective, and systems-oriented approach to her work. She supports people and organizations in naming what is misaligned, honoring lived experience as knowledge, and building strategies that are practical, accountable, and rooted in care.
